“Joshua fought the battle of Jericho, Jericho, Jericho. Joshua fought the battle of Jericho, and the walls came tumblin’ down.” Don’t remember this children’s song? Listen to the full version at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3QUS4B0iaM. It is very inspirational – if you cannot find your way “over” the humongous wall in your life right now, try the spiritual path to “pass through it.” Or even dance through it if you like. But did the walls come tumbling down as the bible says they did? [Read more…] about When The Walls Came Tumblin’ Down

I just wanted to give everyone a few updates with the blog. I haven’t posted in a while because my wife and I are preparing to move. We’re hoping to relocate in Wake Forest. We’ve already picked out a house and we’re just waiting to sell ours. We’re beginning a new journey:)

Is There a Better Answer to “What On Earth Are You Here For?”
You may recognize the article’s title as borrowing from the title of the second-best selling non-fiction book in American History, The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Are You Here For? (November 2002) The author is Rick Warren, the now-famous pastor of a mega church in California. Selling millions of copies, the Bible is the only book it has not outsold [Read more…] about Is There a Better Answer to “What On Earth Are You Here For?”
What is the Symbolic Nature of Paul and His Christ: Part 3
Was Paul’s Christ really the Christ of Orthodoxy? Most likely not.
In parts 1 and 2 of this series we concluded that Paul’s own words from Galatians do not agree with the historical timeline of Acts. We also examined Massey’s reasoning for stating that Paul’s gospel had nothing to do with the literal, historical Christ of orthodoxy, but was rather the gospel of the mythical Christ birthed within through direct experience. We analyzed internal evidence from Galatians that seems to support this theory.
In part 2 of this series I also hinted [Read more…] about What is the Symbolic Nature of Paul and His Christ: Part 3
What is the True Symbolic Nature of Paul and His Christ: Part 2
In part one of this series we learned that according to the timeline of Acts and Paul’s own words from Galatians, and the historic famine of 44 A.D., Paul’s conversion happened 27 A.D. Since most modern Biblical scholars place Jesus’ crucifixion between 30 and 33 A.D., Paul’s conversion happened before Christ was crucified. How then could Paul have been converted to the Christ of Orthodoxy if it wasn’t this Christ that appeared to him? [Read more…] about What is the True Symbolic Nature of Paul and His Christ: Part 2
What is the True Symbolic Nature of Paul and His Christ: Part 1
Today’s very brief post will begin a series that will be a bold attempt to decipher the symbolic nature of the Apostle Paul. What does he really represent in the grand scheme of the New Testament?
Although many Christians are blissfully unaware, the Apostle Paul is sometimes considered an enigma in the scholarly world. There are many aspects of his theology that seem to disagree with and contradict the theology of the Gospels. Scholars such as Gerald Massey have done a great job introducing us to aspects of Paul that would never be taught in the institutionalized church. He was a great pioneer that has emboldened many to see the Apostle Paul in a new light. [Read more…] about What is the True Symbolic Nature of Paul and His Christ: Part 1
Who Are We and Why Are We Here? Meet Your Personality: Part III
In Part I and II of “Who Are We and Why Are We Here? Meet Your Personality” we examined secular and spiritual versions of personality profiling, including Myers Briggs, several versions of the Four Temperaments, Astrology, and the Chinese Zodiac. Some were inaccurate and others left little or no room for spiritual transformation. In the tradition of Jesus serving wine at the Wedding in Cana, we have saved the best for last [Read more…] about Who Are We and Why Are We Here? Meet Your Personality: Part III
Who Are We and Why Are We Here? Meet Your Personality: Part II
In Part I of “Who Are We and Why Are We Here? Meet Your Personality” we examined a “secular” version of personality profiling – the Myers Briggs program. We concluded that it was flawed mainly because it omitted spiritual growth. We will now look at a sampling of “spiritually oriented” personality profiling programs. We will be saving the best program for last, by presenting it in depth in a future post. It is the one most suited to esoteric spirituality and meditation –the Enneagram. The Lord’s Prayer: The Essence of Divine, Cosmic Expression
This article opens with insight to the Lord’s Prayer, followed by “how to” on sex-energy transmutation, concluding with kundalini “birth.” Hang in!
The Apostles (representing our inner seeking mechanism) went to Jesus (representing the process to Christ consciousness) and said: “Master, teach us how to pray.”
“Life is a prayer” [Read more…] about The Lord’s Prayer: The Essence of Divine, Cosmic Expression
The Biblical Meaning of Man’s Dominion over the Animals
People have long thought that the Bible’s creation story in Genesis is literal. Ancient Rabbis, learned scholars of the Hebrew language, have always taught us that those who fail to see beyond the literal stories miss out on the deeper spiritual meanings latent within the text. Those of us who are guilty of reading it with literal eyes only are missing a treasure-trove of knowledge put there to help man crawl from his low spiritual state. Tradition of the Gnostic Apostle: The Legacy of Christ in You
I have always had a passion for the Bible. My interest in Christian origins introduced me to the gnostic form of Christianity, which I’m convinced was the way it began. I have been taken by it and through it Christ is more alive for me than ever. What is written here will be elementary for some and new for others. The point is to see the beauty.
The word ‘gnostic’ describing a spiritual-mystical tradition and persons holding to that tradition was not in common use until the 17th century. If you had asked a so-called “gnostic” in the 2nd [Read more…] about Tradition of the Gnostic Apostle: The Legacy of Christ in You
The Esoteric Significance of Jesus’ Inner Circle
Most Christians are aware of Jesus’ inner circle. They are the three that were closest to him: Peter, James, and John. But what is hardly known is why these three?
It has nothing to do with Jesus favoring them. It has to do with the soul qualities that they represent and the role these soul qualities play in developing consciousness and birthing the Christ within. All of the disciples represent specific soul qualities, but these three—through their unique role as the inner circle of Christ—represent the main qualities which unveil the process of spiritual evolution from the natural man to the enlightened man.
