In our last post we discussed the benefits of concentration. This is the first stage of true meditation and in the development of the Christ within. Without the power of concentration, the mind is at the whims of the senses and external stimuli. Such a mind keeps the Christ within from ever being able to shine through the waking conscious. But once a person develops the power to concentrate on a single thought without wavering [Read more…] about Stage 2 of Going Within: Meditation Beyond Concentration

Concentration: The Prerequisite of Meditation
Over a month ago I wrote an article entitled, Pray Without Ceasing. The title of my post was a quote from the Apostle Paul. In that post we discussed what “praying without ceasing” really meant: a form of meditation.
Since that article I have had many readers ask me exactly how to meditate and why it works. Today’s article will begin a three-part series to break down the process of meditation and exactly how it works [Read more…] about Concentration: The Prerequisite of Meditation
The Deeper Mystery of the Virgin Birth
“Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind.”
— Albert Einstein
Einstein was a perceptive person. He knew that fundamentalists—from either the science or religious camp—can never arrive at the truth because they each see existence through the lens of their own ego. Our egos always blind us so that we only see falsity and half-truths. Have you [Read more…] about The Deeper Mystery of the Virgin Birth
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
Have you ever wondered what the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is? As we dissect it from chapter one and two in the book of Acts, we learn it’s all about kundalini activation. If you have read former posts on this website, then you already know that the Holy Spirit is identical to the concept of kundalini in the East.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit was so important that Jesus told his disciples to wait for it before they could start their ministries and establish the church. [Read more…] about The Baptism of the Holy Spirit
The Great and Terrible Day of the Lord
The “great and terrible day of the Lord” is a very misunderstood event. Sometimes called the “the day of Jesus Christ” and usually associated with the Great Tribulation, many believe it will be the end of our current world system because God will judge the wicked with great devastation before Christ reigns for a thousand years. One website in the top three spots on Google’s SERPS states that the day of the Lord will begin with the rapture, continue with a seven-year tribulation and thousand-year reign of Christ, and finally end with a new heaven and a new earth. That pretty much sums up most of the sermons on this subject.
Fortunately, this is not the Biblical meaning of the great and terrible day of the Lord. [Read more…] about The Great and Terrible Day of the Lord
The Rainbow as a Divine, Mystical Symbol
What’s the real meaning behind the symbol of the rainbow in the Bible? We’ve all heard the story; after Noah’s flood, God places a rainbow in the sky as a token of his covenant to never destroy the earth again in a deluge.
We can assume that there is a deeper mystical meaning to the rainbow since a literal interpretation of its account in Genesis isn’t logical; it would be impossible that a rainbow had never appeared [Read more…] about The Rainbow as a Divine, Mystical Symbol
The Higher and Lower Self
From the first Adam containing the fallen lower nature, to the second Adam (Christ) containing the risen higher nature, the Biblical stories explain the development of consciousness from the lower ego to the maturation of the spiritual ego. This is the main key to unlocking all of the Bible’s deeper mysteries.
With that being said, let’s jump into the topic of the lower and higher self. Although this information comes from esoteric material outside of the Bible, by the end of this post you should be able to see that the higher and lower self are certainly Biblical concepts. [Read more…] about The Higher and Lower Self
The Return of Jesus Christ: An Inside Job
The return of Christ is the most respected and anxiously awaited day for Christians. The Bible states that when he comes back, he’s going to rule every tribe, tongue, and nation. But has the original meaning of the return of Christ lost its significance? Are Christians forfeiting a much greater revelation of the truth by believing in a literal return? What if the true import of the return of Christ is far more real, far more enduring, and far more fulfilling than Christendom could have ever imagined, without a literal return? [Read more…] about The Return of Jesus Christ: An Inside Job
Joshua Tells the Sun and the Moon to Stand Still: Meditation for Higher Awareness
One of the strangest stories of the Bible, and, perhaps one of the most improbable, is when the sun and moon stand still at the command of Joshua so the Israelites can finish slaughtering their enemies. The Bible states:
“Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed [Read more…] about Joshua Tells the Sun and the Moon to Stand Still: Meditation for Higher Awareness
Joshua and the Men of Gibeon: Transmuting the Emotion of Desire
In our last post Joshua and the Israelites had just crossed the river Jordan and set up camp at Gilgal. The focus of that post was reincarnation; we learned that the word “Gilgal” not only teaches reincarnation, but shows how it important a role it plays in the spiritual evolution of the soul, especially when studied in the esoteric context of the Biblical narrative. Today’s post will continue with the overall theme of reincarnation, but we will be focusing on a strange mini story in Joshua’s quest to conqueror Canaan that deals with our astral/emotional nature. Gilgal: More Scriptural Evidence for Reincarnation
Since my last post mentioned reincarnation, I thought I would continue with that subject, specifically how it relates to the word “Gilgal” mentioned in the Bible.
The word “Gilgal” appears in the Old Testament about 40 times. It’s most prevalent in the book of Joshua. When the Biblical narratives are read literally, the term designates a specific place in Palestine; it was at Gilgal that Joshua pitched the famous 12 stones drawn from the river Jordan. What is the Unpardonable Sin?
One of the most serious and jolting verses in the Bible is Matthew 12:32. In that verse Jesus speaks about blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, also known as the “unpardonable sin.” I have seen this scripture strike terror in the hearts of many Christians. I don’t blame them because this scripture used to scare me too. Let’s review it together:
“…whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.” [Read more…] about What is the Unpardonable Sin?
Flaws in Modern Christian Doctrine
Before I jump into the meat of this post, I want to make it clear that if a critic looked hard enough at my life he or she could probably find hypocrisy. With that being said, it is not my intention to attack any one individual. But I believe the very simple message of this blog post may help someone “see” the flagrant hypocrisy which lives and breathes in modern Christianity, and, hopefully, to help us all graduate from religion and live a more pure form of spirituality. As I write this post, I also examine my own life. [Read more…] about Flaws in Modern Christian Doctrine
